Former Eagles Quarterback Earns Prestigious Honor

Philadelphia, PA - Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the team announced today. The announcement was made by Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie at a press conference held at Lincoln Financial Field.

McNabb, who played 13 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Eagles, is one of the most successful quarterbacks in franchise history. He led the Eagles to five NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl appearance during his tenure with the team.

McNabb was drafted by the Eagles with the second overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. He quickly became one of the most popular players in franchise history, leading the Eagles to their first NFC Championship game in 20 years in 2001. He would go on to lead the Eagles to four more NFC Championship games in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2008.
