Ryan Garcia Fight Weight

Garcia Misses Weight, But Fight to Go On

Rehydration Clause Saves Bout

Weigh-In Drama

In a dramatic turn of events, Ryan Garcia spectacularly failed to make weight for his fight with Devin Haney. Garcia, who weighed in over three pounds over the 140-pound limit, would have been ineligible to claim Haney's WBC super lightweight title.

However, a deal was forged to allow the fight to go forward as an exhibition match. This was made possible thanks to a rehydration clause, which allowed Garcia to regain some weight before the fight.

Weighing in again on Saturday, Garcia hit 144.9 pounds, under the limit for a catchweight fight.

Despite the weight miss, Garcia remains confident in his abilities. He is determined to put on a show for the fans and prove that he is a true champion.
